Mary L. Robinson, MBA

Mary L. Robinson, MBA, is a policy and legislative affairs specialist with over three years of experience in legislative and government affairs. In her role, Mary collaboratively works with our specialized teams of state and local tax experts to effectively monitor state and local tax policy, identifying legislative or policy changes that may impact our clients. Through her work in legislative and government affairs, Mary has cultivated valuable relationships with policymakers, key business and industry associations, economic development organizations, chambers of commerce, and national tax experts.

Since joining Advantous Consulting in November 2020, Mary has overseen and contributed to a wide range of firm activities. For the past two years, Mary has played an active role in business development and marketing, successfully developing and executing communications strategies that have expanded our outreach and engagement efforts both internally and externally.

Mary earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations from Louisiana State University and later earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. Mary currently serves as a member of the Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators (LATA) in addition to several government relations and policy committees for business and industry associations across the state. Outside of work, Mary is an active alumna of the Louisiana Beta chapter of Pi Beta Phi sorority for which she served as Vice President of Communications, Panhellenic Senior Delegate, and New Member Assistant.
